I've seen posts here mentioning at least one boron compound that is a gas at room temperature- Diborane I beleive - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diborane that is made up of boron and hydrogen. I understand that it is nasty stuff. but since hydrogen is the only other ingrediant it might not contamina...

Does Recirculation real?
Is it true that there is no recirculation, just bounce of the electrons? I watched the Google video again and Bussard specifically said that electrons recirculate through another cusp. Without the math or a strong (err... small) grounding in magnetic theory, I may be thoroughly confused, but that's ...

I'm not sure you can ionize the boron befor it is inside the magrid. If ionized (positive charge) outside the grid it would be repelled by the positively charged magrid. I'm thinking that the boron would need to enter within the magrid as a neutral gas befor being ionized by the electrons, microwave...

Wild Speculation
I just saw this post over on the Fuser. net forum. A news vidio in the main stream press, with a warning to brace for more. http://www.fusor.net/board/view.php?bn=fusor_theory&key=1218994450 Wild speculation- is this a prelude to a major anouncement about the Polywell? ... And why has M. Simons 'sou...

I've been reading Dolan's paper on electrostatically plugged cusps. (Apparently Dr. Bussard didn't do his homework, there is plenty of research on magnetic/intertial/electrostatic confinement. There are dozens of references to the production of potential wells in cusp and mirror machines.) Some int...

I think all the powerful systems are chemical lasers, dependant of violent reactions with things like chlorine gas, H2O2, iodine, etc. That limits their use due to the difficulty and danger of handling these agents. Solid state lasers are much weaker, but maby they will elvolve into useful powers. T...

Isomer batteries
I followed some internet arguments about nuclear isomer batteries or bombs a year or two ago. Some claiming that the decay rate could be controlled with light- visible light to gamma rays, and others ridiculing the concept that nuclear processes could be effected by non nuclear energies. While conce...

Liquid Polywell
A liquid Polywell? Could a non conducting medium like an oil or ultra pure water be used with a light, easily ionized salt to model the ion /charge / magnetic effects of a Polywell type design? No vacuum would be needed, and possibly permanent magnets could be used in a very cheep system. Could the ...

WB7 image
I played with this image from EMC's wabsite some. Adjusted contrast, gamma, etc trying to improve detail, but almost all of the white areas are blown out ( overexposed) and no more detail can be extracted. I don't know if this was a still camera image triggered in some way or if it is a frame from a...

Are there Line Cusps in the Polywell?
Are there line cusps in the Polywell? I have just re watched the Bussard Google talk where early on he briefly describes a mirror containment device consisting of two opposing ring magnets with a point cusp through the center of each ring and a line cusp extending radially from the equator between t...

[quote="jmc If the electron particle inventory mainly came from the emitter, and we assume that electrons dominate the ions, by even a factor of two, the 1e15 particles times 1.6*10^-19c= a net charge of 1.6e-4 Coulombs. Um... I'm confused. My understanding is that there are a few million more elect...

I've been watching the theoretical/ mathmatical arguments about the Polywell funtion, and the lack of Bussard's detailed reasonings. This 18 year old paper by Bussard address most or all of the arguments. I cannot confirm or even follow most of the mathmatical descriptions provided, but I note that ...
