Expensive film tripods can be very stable and dampen vibrations pretty well (you would be surprised of how bad a little vibration can look with a strong enough zoom). Still, I am not quite sure what this experiment is about, or trying to proof/disproof. If someone can fill me in?

I hope his health will improve.

Not much of an update, is it.
I wished there was more news regarding this. Things are slow, which is in part due to Woodwards cancer (I wish him the best).
The thread is a good source of up to date info though, I guess.

OpenOffie is pretty good. I use it too. Only have one MS Office version at work for compatibility reasons. Everything else is done with Open Office.

Personally I am thinking that simply not having capital punishment might be an easier solution. Otherwise you might end up with a lot of gangsters going free because of judges being affraid for their own heads, hmm? I think that life long solitary confinement is pretty good a punishment too. Plus, i...

Of course, the skepticism level on a technology so useful it replaces turbines has to be very, very high. Agreed, that is why I was asking and being very cautious ("potentially", "might", "could"). As I said, I like the idea, it just is a matter of whether it will actually work as advertized (and w...

One or two of the emerging energy production technologies you reference “could potentially” offer greater cost performance than emerging future nuclear power technologies like polywell. The nuclear advocate must keep and open mind to effectively respond to any emerging power production competition....

Sorry I haven't answered until now Skipjack, it just seems that you get in more flame wars with the Yanks than any other of us foreigners. Yeah, I tend to let myself get provoqued. One reason my be because of my wife, who is a US citizen (and would like us to move back to the US eventually...). I a...

I am setting my level of compromise at 28%. 28% socialism. As I said, I am not entirely sure that everything can be financed that way as you say, but if you can make it work. I would say you have a good concept. I see no problem with that. I dont need to have more socialism than absolutely necessar...

Methinks thou dost began to see the light. me thinks thou dost missunderstand me. I meant "half of the shit we have to take from the EU would not have been possible (in Austria) had the people been allowed to vote on some decisions directly". Instead our dear politicians (at the forefront the frack...

everything is up for a vote
Yeah that is very much my understanding of a real democracy. Half of the shit we have to take from the EU would not have been possible that way.

I will say unequivocally that I don't want Democracy. Funny that you are the guys starting wars to bring just that to others (e.g. Iraq war). Anyway, I see where you guys are going. I am just saying that I dont like it. My country had a monarchy before. It had its merrits (my family were barons), b...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_the_United_States Nowhere I can see that "Most people earning up to say 100K or so aren't paying much more than say 10%". Actually a person that is making only 40k is already paying as much as 19% and I dont think that this does include state and property tax...

Ok, so you conservatives, dont want democracy? Is it that?
Or do you only want democracy as long as it serves your purposes?
I am somewhat confused.
