The work by Dr. Cummins was years ago. Dr. Fuerst just recently joined Jim's reading list and isn't up to date on either Jim's theory nor the experimental work over the years. The only new work was what Jim completed a few weeks ago and about which he has not yet posted a final report. I can tell y...

But it is a "small, modular" yet another stupid design. I would not call it a bad idea in general, but it is IMHO not all that exciting (not as much as a Thorium reactor would be). There are many others around that are simillar, if not better, e.g. Hyperions liquid metal designs and I think Mitsubi...

http://nextbigfuture.com/2011/06/tva-signs-letter-of-intent-for-six.html No Thorium I am affraid. Just the normal boring BWR. Only thing interesting about it is the smaller size, but that is no real news anymore either, is it? huh, mPower small reactor, a 125 MW LWR design that is still being compl...

TVA to build 6 thorium reactors
Cool! I used to trout fish in the Clinch river near the prison. http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2011-06/tennessee-valley-authority-looks-build-six-small-modular-nuclear-reactors In the wake of the Fukushima nuclear disaster, countries like Germany and Switzerland have decided that nuclear ener...

I would buy gold, but one of the first things done is to confiscate private gold holdings, and this is a historical pattern also. So one would have to hide it from thieves and Gov't. If stolen, what would be the recourse. There are few simple legal solutions to this mess. I have currently been tryi...

I dunno, I guess I feel like the information on it is too vague. Is there a proposed mechanism for the higgs becoming bound to other particles? Where do they predict it will show up ex: an electron, does the higgs particle hover about the point particle in some kind or orbit? Is it locked inside, or...

I've been reading as much as I can about thsi concept as far as CERN is concerned; so if I understand this right, they propose that any particle with mass (including an electron or photon?) has somewhere hidden within it this 'Higgs particle"? Is it supposed to form some sort of 'mass cloud' when co...

That said, the money spent on mach effect research has been miniscule compared to other theories that have skeptics. They've dumped many billions into the LHC primarily to find the higgs boson. Or not to find it. In both cases we will need to rethink our model. Does anyone know how much time/data n...

Cain is better than Mc-Cain. Yep. But I'd like to see Cain's position on prohibitions. Gun prohibitions. Drug prohibitions. Food prohibitions. I looked at his site and couldn't find anything. A search may be in order. Here is a man who doesn't understand the issue (video): http://a12iggymom.wordpre...
