Re: Opposing Prohibition On Christian Grounds

Simon, why would anyone who has been so transparent and open about his wicked ways, think it is useful to pretend to make an argument by Christians for Christians? You do realize everyone here who knows anything about you simply ignores you? We just can't take you seriously. Now if there were somepl...

Re: Skynet is coming.

Centimeter-accurate GPS systems aren’t new. They’ve been used for 20 years in agriculture and surveying.
I totally did not know that. I didn't know DOD had that kind of precision. Count me flabbergasted.

Re: Opposing Prohibition On Christian Grounds

It's a plant who's consumption was prohibited by an entity of unquestionable authority and wisdom (if your a religious type). That is hands down the most idiotic statement I've ever read in this forum. Congratulations for a new low in intellectual banter. Someone, anyone please tell me, how in the ...

"As long as short-term regional advantages are given precedence over what is the best deal for the country at large, Orion will continue to be the expensive and obsolete fiscal black hole that it is."

Re: Musk's Powerwall

I just don't know if there's enough roof real-estate on a single family home (let alone apartment complexes) that could make this true. Not by a long shot. I would guess the national average home would be lucky to put 30% production in. Businesses are the opposite as you can cover the parking lots.

Re: Crime and Punishment: Oklahoma (& Texas) style!

Makes one wonder whether we'll see a spate of terrorist baiting and killing here in the US. Could become a favorite pass-time, at least until they stop showing up. Great way to thin the threat.

Re: Since we had this discussion about UAVs and F22s etc...

Do not project your beliefs onto the Airforce, your not that good. The Airforce most certainly believes there will always be a need for human pilots, they have zero intention of replacing all human pilots with drones. Do not project your beliefs onto the Airforce, you're not that good. USAF is not ...

Re: Musk's Powerwall

. . .this one gives 1.2 kWh a day and costs only 1,140 USD. Yes, but the rating is with strong sunlight presented normal to the panel, and unless you add tracking, the sun is almost never, or never normal to the panel. How much energy you can produce gets modified several times in the standard equa...

Re: Musk's Powerwall

This is what I can't quite understand. (Really! I'm not trying to "troll" here.) Do renewables really produce "excess" energy? I've been looking at PV systems for my home (in the Pacific NW of the USA). Even with the roof fully packed, it will only produce a fraction (20-25%-ish) of our total kWh u...
