I actually favor LN2 cooling. It reduces supply power and voltage. It keeps everything cool. It doesn't ionize. It doesn't separate into an explosive mixture under reactor flux conditions. Am I wrong in reading the MgB superconducting thread http://www.talk-polywell.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=285 as an...

Who is EMC2 these days?
Now that Dr. Bussard has passed, does anybody know who is running things at EMC2?

This guy is just assuming that because Lerner is presenting at Google Tech Talks.

Lerner's Wikipedia talk page
Interesting reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Eric_Lerner A lot of it is the "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin" sorts of arguments: Is Lerner a plasma physicist or a plasma cosmologist? Is he rejected by mainstream physicists? And who is a physicist, anyway? What are the crede...

Uh
There's something really creepy about focus fusion... their website is crawling with "please feed us" signs, none of the principals really seem to have a background in getting projects going commercially or have hardcore physics/math backgrounds ... Lerner represents himself as a "researcher" http:/...

Publish or perish?
One criticism I have read of the EMC2 group has been that the team has not published any peer-reviewed literature. Bussard said that the Navy put a gag order on publication, but this was subsequently lifted at the time they de-funded him. Does anyone know if anyone from the team plans on publishing ...

Molecular, not atomic, filtering
It's not clear from their description that atomic-level filtering would work.
