rcain: Rossi really isn't any good at this 'business stuff' is he; neither science, nor engineering. perhaps he will have better luck writing a book about his adventures. plenty of time for that sort of thing in prison. .... and just what has he done in your sick opinion that he deserves to go to pr...

You septic sceptics are a sad, sad lot. :( For all his faults, (most of them trumped it seems to me) it is possible Rossi has discovered an earth-changing technology for the good of mankind and you have had the knives out from day one. There are thousands of fringe inventors out there on the web, an...

You got to ask yourself if Rossi is acting more like the ultimate conman or someone who knows he has something world-changing and is trying to protect his secrets. If he was the ultimate conman would he not be trying to sell secret powders (or licences to produce secret powders) not 1 MWatt machines...

Rossi should concentrate his business on selling secret powders ... leave all the engineering leg work to the others. He could just supply the basic drawings for configurations that work and can hook up to his magic reactor cores and supply the secret powders.

Yes, but you are forgetting where the lead is matters. If it is indeed directly around the core, then it will be at near core temp, taking away the heat transfer differential across the lead. Every boundary of material gives a resultant drop in heat. No Delta-T means no heat transfer. Basic thermo....

There is a disassembly video from the Oct. 6 test/demo where the technician removes a lead layer (appears about 2-3mm thick) and then scoops off handfuls of a white powder (boron?) before removing the lid proper that has another layer of lead attached. However, this is all external to the heat excha...

Rossi is bringing the big, fat cold fusion chicken home to roost and sh!t in the nest MIT feathered for itself 22 years ago ...

... way to go, time to suck it up, buttercups. He has a sense of the dramatic if nothing else.

Maybe he could get Robert Park along for the demo too?

Brian Ahern received his PhD in material science from MIT, holds 26 patents and was a senior scientist for 17 years in research and development at USAF Rome Lab at Hanscom Air Force Base. Ahern was the U.S. Air Force’s expert on nano-materials. Ahern has discovered the LENR phenomenon is occurring o...

It is a lovely presentation. Indeed. A very well thought experimental set up and procedures. All what's left to do now is to identify the source of the error in their 2009 experiment, but I think is pretty clear that what they observed was indeed an error. Anyone wishing to call himself a scientist...

Johan, does not this imply a split between time and space which is at conflict with Minkowski space, where the 3D slice representing "space" orthogonal to the time axis changes with the veocity of the FOR? It does (in my opinion), because the proper way to split time and space is to use quaternions...

Heh, can just see the Navy powering around the globe at great speed in fusion-powered rigs while the plebes suffer quietly with wood-stoves, belching coal plants and nuclear waste products for decades.
