Re: New Polywell Article On HotGas

It's hard to take this seriously when the bar gets jacked up after every round. A high-jump contest is logically no different from an appeal to authority.

Re: New Polywell Article On HotGas

Licensed engineers have existed in Wyoming since 1907, and in every state since 1950, although the meaning of the term used to be much narrower. Despite this, an overwhelming majority of engineers — somewhere around eighty percent — do not pursue licensing as a professional engineer. The Enigma of E...

Re: New Polywell Article On HotGas

There It may be better to say it is less controlled than PE. You may wish this to be true, and even be campaigning for this to become true, but it doesn't represent present reality. A quick look on any job site will show lots of advertised jobs with the title "engineer" that require experience first...

JET had already reached 64% of break-even back in 1997, before it had a robust enough physical structure to take a break-even load. Now that it's been completely refitted, it's only a matter of time before it achieves break-even.

ITER will procure the tritium "fuel" necessary for its expected 20-year lifetime from the global inventory. But for DEMO, the next step on the way to commercial fusion power, about 300g of tritium will be required per day to produce 800 MW of electrical power. No sufficient external source of triti...

Ron, I'm not going to rise to the bait. Instead, I'm going to congratulate you on living up to your signature and suggest that publicly acknowledging other people's contributions is an excellent habit to cultivate.

Re: Mach Effect progress

There is nothing morally, ethically or legally wrong with using these images as I have, and I am not going to be goaded into a dispute with a pair of trolls who don't know the law. The law is exactly as I have explained it and I don't want to hear about it again, from people who obviously haven't g...
