Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

This is the cellular reprogramming that has been showing up on all of the life extension blogs in the last year or so. I think it works although I think this guy's rats died because he took it too far. If you de-differentiate the cells too much, they no longer have the regulatory factors to tell the...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

I don't know about the compound mentioned in the article. I just read elsewhere it's an mTOR thing, like Rapamycin. I think this is one of the weaker pathways to life extension. Senolytics is better. I have tried two senolytic rounds to varying effect. I can tell you the advances are (finally) start...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

Of course. Leftism, as an ideology is not about value creation. It about taking value from those who create it and giving it to those who do not. In other words, its pure parasitism. Having said that, there are two ways around the problem of not making it due to cost. The first is DIY approaches wit...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

I think Bill Andrews is right that telomere elongation in and of itself will not increase cancer rates. However, I think there will be other problems with it. As I said before, telomere shortening is part of the authphagy process of how the body rids itself of dysfunctional cells and, thus, enabling...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

I am not an advocate of telomere elongation as a method of anti-aging life extension. In fact, I think its the wrong course of action. I think artifical telomere elongation will create more problems down the road. Telomere shortening is part of apoptosis which, in turn, is a part of autophagic proce...

Re: Article on laser driven pB11 fusion

This is not your typical laser fusion setup. These guys are using CPA lasers. CPA lasers are of the very short pulses generated by a method similar to that of the Wakefield technique used in those "table-top" particle accelerators that have recently been developed. So this might have a chance of wor...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

You guys are behind the curve with regards to the adult stem cell and iPSC thing.

Do an internet search on "invivo cellular reprogramming" and you'll see where this stuff is going.

Re: What the heck is this GreenNh3

Anhydrous Ammonia is also used in commercial refrigeration systems such as those in large grocery distribution centers. It is nasty stuff. Control systems for such stuff are equipped with leakage sensors that shut the system down and call emergency response teams automatically if a leak should occur...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

Well I am about 91kg body weight so for me the equivalent dosage would be 900mg/day. Understand you don't do it long term; that is you do it for some period of time say 2 weeks and then lay off? How often do you need to repeat the procedure for best results? I did it only 4 times (4 days in a row)....

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

The reason I went with 700mg for a body weight of around 70Kg is that a smaller dose will not produce the desired effect. So, you really are looking at 100mg for each 10 Kg of body weight. In any case, it is very benevolent, unlike Dasatinib, which can really harm you if used improperly. The article...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

so is there a schedule of how often you do this? yearly? quarterly? I've not decided yet. I want to see if it works first. If it does, then I'll probably repeat once a year or so. It only cost me $18 for this trial run, which is about as cheap as its going to be for this kind of thing. I'm also doi...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

Indeed I take 7 or 8 capsules each day, finishing on Wednesday. I cam up with the 700mg from a paper that had the factors for converting from animal to human dosages. I tried to attach it to this posting (it won't let me). But you can find it on fightaging.org and do a search for self-experimentatio...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

My self-experimentation with senolytics commences! I just took the first batch of Fisetin (700mg) this evening. I will repeat for the next 4 evenings (I'm doing a total of 5 rounds) and see what happens. I also checked out the LEF website where they talked about a Quercetin/Tocotrienol combination (...

Re: Factor X have we finally found the fountain of Youth?

I've been taking NR (NAD+ regenerator) for the past two years or so. I've not noticed much of a difference. Then again I was feeling just fine (and full of piss an vinegar) prior to starting it. Ask me in another 5 to 10 years. Given the number of start-ups in the field, it looks like we're within h...
