Re: Actual Polywell News!

This may make it more easy to understand. The plasma is red, coils are black.

Re: Actual Polywell News!

It may not form an FRC plasma. Only the B-field geometry is resemble of a FRC devise but is not elongated.
The inner coil have the place of the FRC plasma in the B-field.
The plasma confinement in this devise may be located as in my pictures.

Re: Actual Polywell News!

New thoughts about the Lockheed Skunkworks reactor. If the central coil is relatively small and have the same direction of its B field as the outer coils. It should take the please as the plasma in a FRC. The plasma may look as in my pictures. No open line cusps. The point cusps may be plugged threw...

Re: Bussard's Polywell patent application is finally dead.

I hope the examiner was competent.
Busard said people trained in tokamaks use to not understand the polywell.

Re: Actual Polywell News!

This is not how its looks like on the photo.
The outer magnets are bigger for bending the B-field round the central coil.
Perhaps there are more coils?

Re: Actual Polywell News!

If Lockheed Skunkworks use the wafelaball effect, it is a polywell with only two point cusp and only one coil. Here is my a picture showing how I guess its looks like. Re: Polywell tidbits from nasa.gov... EMC2 CEO?

I have declared my art of polywell free for promotion of the technology.
Its would be better if they got my name there. But I'm happy if I can give them some help.

Magrid design.

How about this magrid design? Have it been something like this before?
Its a twisted circle, its have two gaps and the magnet lines are closed.

This makes me afraid the new devise is manly for get jobs for fusion researcher.
They may have hyper hyped there project for getting money.
Hope I'm wrong.

Re: Lockheed Martin Skunkworks - Compact Fusion

The neutron problem in T+D fusion is to get enough breeding of T. If you have solve the breeding there are not many neutrons how can be dangerous outside the reactor. Does someone know watt kind of reactor this is? I goggled on “High Beta configuration” and most of it was on FRC and some sites on Hi...

Tokamaks?

Thy don't think it might ever be economic but its really good science.
Bussard

We spent 15 bilions dollars studing tokamaks and what we know about them is thy are no darn good.
