Re: Bill Gates is heading a $1 billion venture fund to combat climate change
Dio, what is your point....that climatologist models do not account for changes in water vapor due to heat/pressure, and dynamic feedback as more heat is trapped; more/less cloud cover/reflection and such? I'm sure these are all fundamental to well designed models and the effects of are at least att...

Re: Bill Gates is heading a $1 billion venture fund to combat climate change
Right, pragmatism. Its not as if we have any real choice anyway without some kind of fusion breakthrough that is rolled out in an unbelievably short time. Humanity will be consuming fossil fuels for a long time, and at an increasing rate.
Re: BLP news
We need a Mills vs Rossi thread. To debate who has the better technique in making money from vaporware. It's is close, but I still think Rossi has more style, or at least much higher entertainment value.

Wow, great find. Go post that in ECat World if you came up with it. I'd like to read the spin afterwards.

Re: LENR Is Real
Too bad, I was kind of hoping to see some discussion on Parkhomov. I don't follow these Rossi replications, what little I bother to read are excerpts or links here, but the last I heard is that Parkhomov claimed some small excess heat replication and then later was providing info to the the MFMP gro...

Dr. Tether
Now it would be great to move discussions specific to Andrea Rossi back into the other thread and keep this one on BLP.

Re: Sell The Whitehouse to Trump
I wish there was some objective way to score Supreme Court Judges performance without all the politics. A measurement could be used to ensure Judges aren't abusing lifetime appointment (of which I generally agree with for that court).

Re: Mach Effect progress
Correct me if I am wrong, but my impression is that the original thrust levels versus energy input is at least a million times less than originally claimed based on the more recent test results margins for error. As such, even if the physics works, thrust will be much less than even current ion thr...

Re: LENR Is Real
There is precedent, though. Gene's are naturally occurring, but patents have been granted on them. Existing genes or modified? I would think modified. With medicines, these are new compounds that also do not pre-exist, or at least have not been discovered for a patent. I guess it gets fuzzy for thi...

Re: LENR Is Real
I just liked the dichotomy of: - hydrinos are one of the natural states of a hydrogen atom - you cannot investigate these since we have patented them I'm no expert on patents, but this just seems rather funny to me. It would be like trying to patent a particular isotope* or an ion or something. Yes,...

Re: Sell The Whitehouse to Trump
Part of the "rigging" was the intentionally flawed polls pushed non-stop by the media that persisted up until vote counts came in. These polls were propaganda and a psychological weapon to suppress voter turnout. And IMO they had the desired effect, although it is hard to empirically say how much si...

Re: LENR Is Real
And because his issued patents claim the hydrino as an invention, BLP asserts that it owns all intellectual property rights involving hydrino research. BLP therefore forbids outside experimentalists from doing even the most basic hydrino research, which could confirm or deny hydrinos, without first...

Dave Bowman: Alright, HAL. I'll go in through the emergency airlock.
HAL: Without your space helmet, Dave? You're going to find that rather difficult.
Dave Bowman: HAL, I won't argue with you anymore! Open the doors!
HAL: Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.
