So, are you saying that federal borrowing is what, just rational spending? We can just keep on borrowing 40% of what the govt spends? Bernanke has a Phd so he knows what he is doing? Check out the money supply and ask yourself how long the Fed can keep that up?

I read Human Action by Von Mises when I was 17. Ever heard of Austrian Economics? Murray Rothbard? Hard to find anyone more arrogant than a Socialist, yet socialism has failed for a hundred years. Go figure.

My ilk? LOL. The Fed has been pumping hard for the last 4 years, and especially hard to help Obama this year. The Chinese will look at the Obama campaign slogan "Forward" and say SOS. No more loan money for you. Then what? Increase tax rates? Increase borrowing? From which suckers? You're out of mon...

Obstructionist to what? Financial suicide? Idiot Democrats are dragging us over the cliff and you think the Republicans doing a little heal dragging is being obstructionist? There is already not enough money in the world to pay for existing programs and now nationalized health care has been added. T...

Face it, Republicans are plain social progressive idiots to have lost this election. What is the chance that they will figure it out? Zero.

GIThruster,
It does not seem that you are in disagreement on the basic goals or the idea of the big stick, just what is required. As to what is required, I have no idea myself. You seem to be a Wiki man in that regard, but that is only what it seems to me.
Best regards

Pallidin, Your China Sea case makes sense to me. However, a trillion in nation building does not, not that you are suggesting it. On the other hand, unless we used the military, it would be hard for countries to believe appearance of capability translates to real world. Desert Storm was a case in po...

Sorry, I didn't think you were talking guarding sea lanes such as in the Mediterranean to stop pirates. It was starting to sound like you were talking about some open ended undefined world busybody nanny role such as what we have been doing in Libya, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, etc. Or Pakistan and India bo...

MSimon, At what point do you think we should start meddling everywhere, as we are now, to prevent this worried repeat of WWII? As it is we have assumed the roll of world Nanny and we are now stuck like Braer Rabbit. Moreover, it looks like up to this point all we have done is made matters much worse...
