anyone understands what the hell is GoatGuy talking about? Is that just techno-babble to make fun of Paul? I think GoatGuy is responding to Paul's reference to the possibility that force could be transmitted through the liquid metal pots in Jim's ARC Lite setup (which I can see no possible mechanis...

BTW, would you agree with the statement that a hypothetical M-E flywheel generator is 2L compliant because it increases the entropy of the causally connected universe by lowering its temp? No. Entropy is a property of energy. Decrease the temperature, and you increase the entropy of each unit of re...

However nobody wanted to believe the reported data due what they considered experimental shortcomings such as. . .not running the test articles with self-contained RF power source that would make absolutely sure that the thrust signatures were not coming from a back reaction force developed through...

That makes sense, thanks for the explanation. Hopefully the next round or two convince enough people that some science labs start replicating your results. It doesn't sound like it's outside the engineering capabilities of a modest college physics lab, assuming there's no "secret sauce" in your des...

Paul, the problems in creating a device generating milli-newtons or even a full newton of force is more on the order of money (the materials to built it wold cost too much) or of pure engineering problems (meaning even with a big budget you would still take a lot of time to discover how to create a...

Chris, if you'll read the third link Paul just gave you, the one on radiation reaction; you'll see that the route through time is in Wheeler-Feynman's "absorber" theory of radiation reaction. Paul, the link at the bottom of that page to transient mass fluctuations is broken. Do you have a working o...

Thanks, Paul. I have not got a syllable of issue with anyone that is prepared to put their experimental time into their own ideas, and have previously commented in at least one other thread that I am impressed for this one to be followed through. Not my cup-of-tea, as you know, but I will pick up o...

Paul, if you are claiming that the explanation of the energy-entropy balance lies in an extention into a 4th dimension, then it sounds like you are saying such a device could [just as] likely take momentum from the same space, but in a different time (rather than the same time, but a different spac...

This above is a really intriguing question! If the universe's expansion is a measure of its increasing entropy (as in "arrow of time"), and use of M-E increases universal entropy, then huge amounts of M-E use could be observed as the accelerating expansion of the universe. What if the observed univ...

There is no "essential notion of thermodynamics" that says any system you can conceive of, must have increasing entropy. That's just absurd.. eh!? You should be able to draw an arbitrary boundary and the net entropy change associated with the internal entropy of the boundary and the net energy acro...

BTW, Giorgio, my thoughts on how we pay for using tomorrow's meomentum today may not be as simple minded as lowering the uninverse's background temperature. It may be more along the lines of slowing the clock rate of the uninverse so that the rate of time in flat spacetime becomes less than the cur...

2. If the forgoing conjecture is correct, no thermodynamic cycle violations are committed by the M-E due to the fact that the locally accelerated and energy varying dielectric mass can no longer be considered a closed system relative to the rest of the mass/energy in the causally connected universe...

Well I'm not about to be that difficult. I just want to read how their last assertion could be wrong - 1 Is the energy leveraged concentrated from a homogeneous background? 2 Is there a violation of the second law of thermodynamics if it is? Betruger: Jim Woodward would be the best person to answer...

Paul, at NextBigFuture, GoatGuy said ME was a perpetual motion machine. I replied by giving the example of a sail. This was his reply Not at all Rogerio. A sail redirects a mass of air, giving a resultant force, and deriving that force by the displacement of the vector-of-velocity of the air thus d...

It would run forever for what it's worth, but it doesn't violate conservation of momentum due to the source of that momentum. You do need a certain efficiency(a newton a watt IIRC) for the rotor with two thrusters on it to work. That'll be a while in the future. Folks: An M-E drive is NOT a perpetu...
