Talldave, And where has he met his own standards from the quote you provided for WB7 and WB7.1? Or even WB6? The WB6 summary report was "released" and then subsequently removed from distro at as it is understood his request. There are many of us who have a copy, but we are not distro'ing it around b...

Nope, you miss the whole point. What you do with private funds is private business. What you do with public funds is public business. To simplify: Public Funds = Public Scrutiny. Even Black Programs become public, it is only a matter of time. Nothing EMC2 is doing is Black, thus THAT is not an issue...

WB6 (Completed, Positive(ish)) - Eureka Build by Dr. Bussard to encorporate "we've got it! ideas". Smoked during final desperation testing runs after money was turned off. "I swear, it made neutrons, see!" Dr. Bussard passes away while marketing for funding. WB7 (Completed, Positive(ish))- Funding p...

I will have to go back through the paperwork and look. I do not have the file with me right now. I believe a mention at some point of post WB 7.1 reporting and review. Did you notice on the WB-8/WB-7.1 grpahic showing the vacuum chamber that there are large flanges on each side. Very much like the d...

I am not sure, but the Ion Guns were on a seperate contract to WB7 & 7.1, and they may have been used all along for WB 7. That was part of the interim funding as I recall. I would have to go back a sift througth the contract numbers again. One of these days I will make a spreadsheet... The "guns" d...

WB 7.1 was modified nubs between the coils. What the mod was remains to be seen. The WB7.1 contract was to explore the electron heating of the nubs. When all that came up we had the discussions about wall mounting the coils. On a side note, Joel's paper also shows wall mount. Or to be more accurate,...

To be perfectly clear again on the FOIA. Release was denied based on EMC2's assertions of proprietary information of a competative nature. EMC2 was given an opportunity to argue against release. They did, and the navy accepted it as valid. This was the only grounds for not releasing. What is botheri...

It would not surprise me at all if this were a FOIA decision at China Lake. There's no question that it is. The company doeesn't get to decide that. There's some question as to whether the company actually requested this or not. Either way, it's grossly unfair to accuse Rick of dishonesty. As Tom a...

I have slept on this, and remain concerned that Dr. Nebel has stated on numerous occasions that he can not release info based on the government not letting him. The wording of the contracts has remained the same, his requirement is to ask for permission prior to release of info. (that is different i...

Actually, based on my experience with this FOIA, that appears to be incorrect. Everything is based on the date of filing. My interpretation is that the intent of EMC2 has to be demonstrated as of the date of filing, if they have changed their minds after the fact it does not count legally. If the ap...

Either way, this still shakes my faith. There have been many opportunities for Dr. Nebel to state it is proprietary work. He has not ever. He has always said he could not talk because of the contract. Granted it is in the contract for him to ask permission to share, but in the end, he has apparently...

I have to tell you this sure shakes my faith. You would think that they might at least release the conclusion of the review board. "(redacted) ....and therefor we think given the uncertainties and the potentials that the device warrants some further research to settle the uncertainties." Or some su...
