If that's one of the "drones", whoever did it probably bought the high tech parts online.

Re: Mach effect tuning fork experiment
A tuning fork has a resonant frequency dependent on mechanical stiffness (which may be impacted measurably by temperature), and mass. In the experiment I'm thinking of that mass would include the "transient mass" device under test. The tuning fork itself would be driven by a well known tuning fork o...

Re: Mach effect tuning fork experiment
I'm thinking it'll be much easier to adjust the electric signal to the capacitor than deal with moving the capacitor. Self resonance of the capacitor plus feed line would be a much higher frequency than the tuning fork anyway. Running the capacitor off mechanical resonant frequency to measure any ef...

Re: Mach effect tuning fork experiment
I'm thinking a tuning fork would be an effective way to observe small shifts in mass. Power the "active mass" in phase lock with the tuning fork. If the Woodward effect is real there should be a shift in frequency as the "active mass" is turned on and off, or shifted in phase relative to the tuning ...

Chess has finite and well defined rules. A computer outdoing the grand masters was inevitable. When computers can outperform humans on not so well defined tasks it may be time to worry.

A sphere would be equilibrium under gravity or surface tension. Add rotation and other shapes may be favored.krenshala wrote:If it was hot enough to be considered plastic, it should have reached hydrostatic equilibrium -- pulled itself into a (rough) sphere.

"advanced electrogravitic propulsion"
A topic straight from the same field as EM and Woodward drives. Be skeptical, very skeptical.

Climate changes. But how is it changing, and what drives it? I consider the people who claim CO2 from fossil fuels is going to warm the planet disastrously to be fools, or worse.

A lot of SEC rules are ostensibly to protect small investors who may not know what they're doing. But the result is restricting some potentially very profitable (and undeniably very risky) investments to large investors.

In other words, yet another mass shooting that doesn't fit the gun grabber's Narrative that we'd be better off with more laws that would end up disarming good citizens.

A lot of flying wing designs have stability problems. Easily solved if you put a modern flight computer in the control loop. Some of those old designs would be interesting with active stability control.
