^ almost there. The MIT guys use multiple grids with varying potential. They act as electrostatic lenses that keep the beams bunching back and forth and away from the grids. Whats exciting is they found the ion beams "synchronized" this is the same mechanism the POPS guys at Los Alamos are independe...
Dr. Bussard's mention of the "18-wheeler" I dont think this concept is viable at all, at least for some time. People see a cute little set of polywell coils. What they dont see is the power supply hardware. Its going to be a big heavy sucker. "In using a harmonic oscillator analogy, the ion mass pr...
Has anyone emailed or talked with the pops guys @ Los Alamos ? Has anyone here got access to journals ? Theres some pops info out there that we dont have. It would be good for the community if we could find these. J. Park, R.A. Nebel, S.M. Stange, and S.K. Murali, “First experimental confi rmation o...

Been thinking the same thing for a while. Alas, this is the most geographically distributed internet community i have seen for some time. If i could find 1 million in venture capitol, i would start a company, and would happily buy some plane tickets for you guys. Then we could make some real noise (...

Hey Stefan, now, upon reflection i would have to agree. Those four pipes at the corners would 100% be the electron guns. The "fifth" pipe which i hadnt even noticed would have been the gas injection. Cheers ! It seems like there are two geometries where one could inject electons/ions either through ...

Quotes to get you going !
Lately i feel some great people are speaking to us. We just have to listen I have felt it myself. The glitter of nuclear weapons. It is irresistible if you come to them as a scientist. To feel it's there in your hands, to release this energy that fuels the stars, to let it do your bidding. To perfor...

Dr mike i just read your paper and i think i will have to quote "Before I came here I was confused about this subject. Having listened to your lecture I am still confused. But on a higher level." - Enrico Fermi Nanos, FELs require massive magnets called wigglers. These alone would consume about as m...

Hi John,
p + B11 -> He 2.46Mev + He 2.46Mev + He 3.76Mev
and yes a positive center is need to accelerate the electrons. Some fantastic modeling can be found here courtesy of Indrek

Skimming through the literature i did find one reference to direct power conversion (Bussard-FusionTechnology-Mar1991.pdf). More a concept than a technical drawing, it mentions a grid with a 1Mev positive bias. Its gonna reak havoc with electron injection/recirculation. One could place the grid far ...

One of the major issues in polywell design stumping even that of the good Doctor B, was that of separating the fuel and reaction products and evacuating the later. This may prove very helpful http://www.csiro.au/news/FantasticPlastic.html If it can differentiate between CO2 and CH4. It should be abl...

Hey Indrek. Once Again amazing work, seriously. I have been working on the electron injection amongst other things and seeing the dynamics of the electric charge surrounding the coils is invaluable. So, previously you have done some basic sims of the positive electric field around the machine. But t...
