Re: Worlds toughest material

Space elevators are problematic for most moons, our own included, because they're typically tidally locked to their parent. They don't rotate fast enough to have a practical synchronous orbit station. It may be practical on these to run an elevator either straight toward the parent or straight away...

Details of this paper are disputed on Jack Sarfatti's blog: "in a manner that produces "weak interference" without resorting to coincidence signals." Yes Nick, but is it true? - is the 64 trillion dollar question. ;-) On Jan 30, 2013, at 4:51 PM, nick herbert <quanta@cruzio.com> wrote: Each single p...

Counter-example to the no-signaling theorem

There has been a recently revised article submitted to the Journal of the Optical Society of America:

Coast to Coast is a radio show for conspiracy theorists, out of body experiences, alien abductions, time travel, ghosts, crystal skulls, vampires... basically anything anyone wants to talk about. It's been running since 1984 and Richard Hoagland has been a frequent guest on the show. Hoagland is the...

Emm. . .pretty sure in this case they're not. Wheeler proposed a definition for Quantum Foam that yes, addresses a different topic, but this experiment was looking at the primary ZPF conjecture Ok. I was thinking 'quantum fluctuation' might be a broader term for other things in quantum physics besi...

I might be wrong on this, but I think quantum foam and quantum fluctuation are two different things.

That sounds right to me too, Darby. I would add too that the ZPF'ers are using "pressure" not just energy, but I don't understand how that falls out of GR. Eric, Sonny and Jack Sarfatti are all proposing this. Dr. Richard Obousy did ten webisodes in 2009. They are here . In episode six, he says tha...
