I actually like the idea of a flat-rate no limit health care;

But then that's US ingenuity for you.

Would they take someone with who had a heart attack? I am only 34 years old, but I had one 3 months ago. That is my problem... It can't be a good idea to be battling on the forum if you have heart issues. MSimon and TallDave aren't going to change their stripes no matter how convincing you make you...

Hey, I would even be happy if the US passed a law that limits the cost for health insurance and that does not allow insurance companies to deny insurance to an applicant. That would at least give people like me a chance and it would still not be "socialized" or whatever you guys are sooooo affraid ...

I do however not agree with an anarchic capotalism. Anyway, my problem is that when I move to the US I will be denied health insurance by all private insurance carriers. So I am arguing that I would like an alternative. The only alternative that I can (potentially) see happen is Obamas plan for pub...

Hello Mr Tall! I have told you, nummerous times now, that you can not take Europe as a whole and compare it with the US. A large part of Europe is poorer and less developed. As I mentioned it would be as if you would put the US together with Mexico. Why dont you get that into your head? Also, I hav...

Gblaze, you failed to quote (and maybe also read) the entire paragraph to that quote. Here it is again: Our country has 8 million inhabitants, yours has 300 million. Naturally you have more Nobel laureates and you contribute a higher percentage to the worlds medical science. Let me rephrase it, to ...

. Naturally you have more Nobel laureates and you contribute a higher percentage to the worlds medical science. Yes you should ask why though? It's typically because the US is focused on the pursuit of Research and Development as compared to most other countries. Almost 50% of the worlds Nobel winn...

Hmmm, the equal opportunities. I for one belong to the camp that say: No, people are not the same at birth. They are born with differing genes and therefore differing capabilities. They do deserve equal rights at birth however and they should by treated equally by the law. I also think that offerin...

It is just really strange to me. According to you, only the libertarian US citizens know what is best. You are the only ones who know everything about healthcare and what works and what does not. Everyone else in the world is wrong. Even the people in your own country, the majority of which is for ...

Hmm, 80%? Where does that number come from? I kinda doubt that Bayer, imuno AG, Pasteur institute, Hoffman La Roche, Siemens, Toshiba, Philips, all the medical university institutes in Europe and all those that I cant think of at the moment, make only 20%, but hey I might actually be wrong here. Pl...

Btw, I am not sure whether Most of the people in the US do not like having the government to have that much control over whats best for us is that applicable to healthcare. Clearly the majority voted for Obama, who seems to have a rather reasonable idea in regards to healthcare (public healthcare f...

That is no different in the US though, where you have to give 12.5% of your income to a social security system that gives you very little in return. For some reason they do that better here and maybe the incapability of your government in this matter, is the reason why people in the US are so avers...

So? Germany GDP is $3,818,000 million as of 2008, US GDP is $14,330,000 million, and the US is the only single country in the world whose GDP is that high, check CIA fact-book 2008. So really who cares about its' economic growth, even at the this "economic crisis" Germany is still way behind GDP wi...

We seem to be much wealthies than Europe. Thanks for asking. Germany is back to an economic growth of 2.5% by now, after it was also hit by a worldwide economic crisis that was caused by the failed politics of the US in the last 8 years. The US is still far, far away from such numbers at the moment...
