From a layperson; Going by Johan's ideas, is the decoupling of the EM wave and mass wave (and subsequent displacement of the mass wave in a desired direction) supposed to be the basis for the Woodward-Mach effect in the other thread?

The proper term is rino, Republican In Name Only. Aha, I guess you can turn and twist it any way you like... I don't think it is a matter of twisting anything. There are those in the conservative/libertarian camp who actively try to distinguish true conservatives and libertarians within the R party...

Re: FTL Neutrinos?

So if I understand this right, they determined that the neutrino took 0.002434958 seconds to cover the 730km, vs the 0.002435018 seconds light would take. That's quite a slim margin of error; are the instruments for detecting neutrinos really that calibrated that this couldn't simply be the result o...

Yeah, Nebel just decided to walk away ("diversify" if spun correctly) from the biggest project of the last century that looks like it is working out ... uh-huh, gotta bridge to see ya if you believe that. If it is NOT working out and they are using the "secrecy" to keep the money flowing ... well t...

This guy proposes that gravity and the strong force are essentially effects caused by electromagnetic and electrostatic forces.

Thanks, I'll start reading that too. Lerner's book is very impressive. It lead me to searches on topics which I didn't even realize were being debated. Also just read about the Halton Arp story, that's a little disturbing if true. Seems like his story would make a good article for the powerandcontro...

Because the entire point of CERN was to create the conditions present right after the Big Bang, does this damage Big Bang Theory? I've just recently discovered Eric Lerner's book endorsing plasma cosmology. The nonexistence of the Higgs seems to fit with the other examples he proposes that the Big B...

Certainly you put your thumb right on the issue from the very first when you wrote that momentum and energy are not the same thing. I haven't had first year physics yet so bear with me :o I'm trying not to conflate intertia, momentum and energy. The reason I phrased it as momentum instead of energy...
