A key question what advantage is there to the Navy in releasing information now? The answer lies in the fact that a successful boron polywell has such a tremendous upside for mankind as a whole that every effort should be made to get there as soon as possible. That means a commitment like J.F.K. mad...

Yes, I am the author and it is self published. Unless this really catches on, I will not recover expenses and if it does catch on then everybody benefits.

If they were to fund such a project, they would be subject to the type of media hype that accompanied those two ideas or w...

A Funding Proposal

In response to MSimons' challenge "Why not just build the darn thing?" which he posted in the design section, I outlined a funding proposal there which might get it built. It is probably more appropriate to discuss it in this forum so I am reposting it here. The basic idea is for EMC2 to sell rights...

Why not just build the thing

Simon: Ok, lets get it done. Since January, I have been waiting for Google to announce the finalists in its contest to jump start projects that have the most benefit for the most people. I had hoped that the project I had submitted for WB-8 would be one of the finalists. However Google has postponed...

Well Google has done it again. They have postponed the date for voting. Only this time it is to a date uncertain. If ever.

Vernes:

It is my understanding that if Google gets multiple proposals for the same general idea, they will choose only one to put into the final 100 proposals to be voted on. Your other comments make sense.

Joe; What I submitted for the contest could be implemented in two years. It was for EMC2 to build a duodecahedron Bussard that would help to jump start mankind into the Boron Age. I suspect that if any proposal to build WB-8 is chosen to be voted on, then if we can get out the vote, the resulting pu...
