Re: Lawaranceville E-Newsletter

Back after tending to local chores. The FFS site is and has been functional for me... if it's being worked on now then my admin status is what's letting me in. So if it's being worked on then that's positive news of a kind although I wonder why whoever is working on it didn't hang out the "undergoin...

Re: Lawaranceville E-Newsletter

http://focusfusion.org site has been down. Not down and far from dead :) LPP reports for non-investors tend to be bimonthly but there's no strict schedule. Per LPP the next report is about due... along with a video about an LPP presentation at a Google Solve For X :) The Focus Fusion Society org si...

Re: Lawaranceville E-Newsletter

From what I understand, it does not scale very well. It is best at the small sizes in the low MW range and you would just use multiple devices. Yep, as of now it looks that way. Per LPP: if an FF unit is run at much less than 5MWe (IOW if it is run cooler) then the boron gas fuel might plate out an...

Re: Can Republican win a national election ever again?

On a more practical note: the GOP will hold on longer than their vote totals would indicate they should. That's because of the 2010 midterm Dem route, with its backlash against Obamacorp, which also coincided with decennial redistricting at the state and local levels. And it's a simple fact, acknowl...

It is close to irrelevant at this point. Fracking. Tar sands. Oil shale. etc. ? The global market is the key concern of the elites and Iran's massive reserves of readily available oil that doesn't need to be fracked or cooked out of the ground is an advantage that a state that isn't a "team player"...

... *sigh* Iran has a large investment in ongoing energy research, including fusion. Some of the Iranians working on the aneutronic fusion projects even came to the U.S. to visit LPP. ... oh, and by the way, Iran sending academics involved in the projects to other countries to talk about the project...

Re: News: Iran, Polywell and 8 Million Dollars? ?

Hello All, Anyone know if this news story is real or fake? I do not believe it. The date is 11/13/12. It's quite real. Why would you not believe it? Indeed... LPP, for one, has been sharing research papers with their counterparts in other nations, including Iran. (Yes, it's permitted under the sanc...

Cool! Thanks for sharing! Wished the music in the video was not so loud. It is hard to understand what people are saying. AFAICT it's Slough's Helion, just not reported well. Slough's concepts are supposed to use some of the fusion products for direct conversion but the basis is still neutronic fus...

Re: How Can Anybody Sane Think Like This

Simply an observation that what Jccarlton wrote does not reflect what's in the report.

No surprises here... in any regard :)

Meet George Jetson... The early years. Science fiction: the early years... that's what was tickling my memory. This is very similar to many illustrations from SF stories of the 1920's and -30's about future air travel. Cool :) Should be much simpler to fly in that that lift part and the thrust part...
