Re: Laser vs UAV: No Fair Fight Here

DEWs are rapidly reaching the size/weight/power needed for mounting on airborne platforms. As I've often said in other threads, once DEWs become commonplace the aerial combat advantage will go to the larger platform. UAV size and maneuverability will offer little advantage against lightspeed weapon...

Then there's the Department of Defense and Thermoelectric generator fiasco-- which , shell we say, was rather convenient for Rossi. It's also rather odd that he never returned to the concept, given that he was claiming levels of conversion efficiency that even today haven't been equaled. And do not...

What none of us want to see is that we take too long eliminating errors and then find out it was real and too late. What I want do not want to see that we have wasted money and time then find something ELSE was real and it is now too late. And we might even make the real problem worse by pursuing C...

Professor Muller, a vocal skeptic did a study not too long ago. http://blogs.kqed.org/newsfix/2011/10/31/uc-berkeley-lawrence-berkeley-lab-climate-change-skeptic-now-says-global-warming-is-real/ 1. Muller is a skeptic....or was... Only as so much as he disagreed with Mann's "hockey stick". It is fu...

Aren't we over this? No, but we are definitely getting there. IPCC AR5 si moving climate sensitivity estimates down and reduces estimates of human activity impacts, increases the role of natural climate variability. All things that skeptics were claiming all the time. It will take some more time, b...

What will you do if the E-Cat is proven to work? I would be happy, just like everybody else. Slink off quietly or claim you knew that it did all along and that you never ran the guy down? I would apologize for being a snake. No problem. With Rossi getting involved with MIT I expect the back pedalin...

No, but I don't claim to know the answer either. I am SEEKING data to make a decision, You seem to have decided without data. If you HAVE the data, please provide it. Make a decision? Please, make a decision on my claim that I can levitate over the ground. No large launch vehicle like Saturn, Soyuz...

This what flying a fusion reactor by the seat of your pants while trying to bring it to market on shoestring budget looks like. It's messy, unsafe, controversial but stories like these just can not be concocted by man alone. So, again, all of them might sound plausible, but why the hell that 1MW de...

Odds are such electrons unless they are at the very edge wouldn't get out of the lattice. Charged particles in a solid lose energy very rapidly. Even electrons. They would produces massive lattice defects though. Which might impair energy production. If the structure of the lattice is important for...

<offtopic> And it is true I'm not paying extremely close attention. I'm focusing on the GA144 chip which I actually have on my bench and am conducting experiments with and on. So, you still believe in forth? :) I'm betting we will see that chip produced in the millions before Rossi gets his device p...

Compare this with progress in semiconductors from the late 20s to the mid 50s. By the mid 40s we had GHz rectifying semiconductors http://www.computerhistory.org/semiconductor/timeline/1941-semiconductor.html And by 1948 we had the junction transistor and by the early 50s FETs (first patented in th...

Yeah but Mars is 6months to a year away...not hours away like a inflatable bigelow space station in earth orbit. Or two days away like the moon. By the time some gov decides to act there could be thousands of Mars colonists, good luck finding the server/cpu with the encrypted data on the depositors...

Neutrons were discovered in the 30s and by the 40s we had nuclear reactors. Field effect transistors were patented in the late 20s and by the early 50s they were being manufactured. By several different manufacturers. So far we only have the word of a known fraudster that the E-Cat effect is real. ...

You people suppose Rossi is the man who drives this show, the man to make decisions, the Strategic behind the game and then you are puzzled by how strangely and inconsistently he manages the whole thing. Ha, that makes for a nice conspiration theory too! Rossi is actually pawn of big oil (and green...
