Is their electric meter outside? You could potentially correlate their power usage with externally detected events.

It seems that FPGeneration was covered in the 2007 time frame on Talk Polywell. Here is an external link to a good description of their methodology. They talk about adding POPS RF modulation to compress the ions trapped at the center of the device. http://peakoiloptimist.blogspot.com/2007/12/another...

67% efficienciy at 300° C?? Not in this world! It is not the best wording, but when they say a 50% increase in efficiency (in the case of a steam turbine), they mean that the efficiency goes from 30% to 45%, i.e. 1.5 * 30% = 45%. This does mean that you get 50% more electricity from the same amount...

They have a very detailed paper online

The paper is from August 2010. It looks like they have done a huge amount of work on this and it is nearing the point of commercial viability.

Some waste treatment plants are designed to generate methane, which is then burned to produce some of the energy required to run the plant. In this case, the CO2 from burning the methane would be a convenient source for the bacteria. Much cleaner source than a coal fired plant. Not sure whether the ...

They are kept in a closed system of solar panel looking modules. Though this does not guarantee that they won't be released into the wild, it makes it less likely. It would be especially unlikely if the collectors were located away from natural water sources, such as in deserts. Also, I vaguely reme...

The differences is that these bacteria continuously excrete the substances that they are engineered to produce. You only need to feed them sunlight and C02 and then separate the hydrocarbons from the liquid stream.

If you have all the capitol that you need, then there might be no need for publicity, but otherwise, generating buzz for your company is a good way to get additional investment.

I checked and also can not access the web site. This is strange, since it loaded fine yesterday. The most recent information on the device is from a very informative lecture at Xerox PARC which can be found at http://www.parc.com/event/713/high-efficiency-solid-state-engine.html . There is another heat to electricity method based on proton exchange membranes similar to those used in fuel cells. It also seeks to eventually reach 85% of Carnot efficiency. Current efficiency is about 40% of Carnot. One useful feature of this device is that it can be used "in reverse" as a solid ...

New PBS Website/TV Program Dedicated to Clean Energy

PBS has a new program that takes user submitted stories and produces a TV program every month. Could be a great opportunity to get some more visibility (and hopefully funding) for Polywell Fusion. See http://www.planetforward.org/pages/about-planet-forward The television show will feature the best o...
