Re: EMC2 news

Well I guess that cat is out of the bag.

What do you mean by "that cat"? Are there other cats to get out of the bag?

Re: Small Tri Alpha news blurp

Well, what I was referring to was the general lack of mention of Polywell in any fusion discussion. I watched a "panel" discussion on fusion with Focus Fusion, Tri Alpha, NIF and someone representing investors, but no mention of Polywell. It just seems like almost all venues about fusion d...

Re: Small Tri Alpha news blurp

SJ, thank you very much for the links. Some of the best overviews I have seen. The jump in power out from 500 MW to 1 GW is impressive and suggestive of a high probability of success. It seems like all the areas of risk are highly manageable. Pretty exciting. I note though that it the first video an...

Re: Go Navy!

Re: Goodbye Tension, Hello Pension

"Improvement of the current laboratory-scale devices, in order to provide long duration thrust at levels required for practical propulsion applications." darn, that is exciting! Oh the possibilities. Interesting question on the size of the planet versus technological capability to escape. ...

It's just numerical simulation followed by "more detailed" modeling and numerical simulation. Still, NASA looking at it is good!

Re: Too early for Polywell?

Hanelyp, you mistake my supposition about the discussion being based on an assumption. If you want to argue the assumption, there are plenty of other threads to do so. What I am saying is the thread is based on the assumption climate change is happening, that the global average temperature is increa...
