Re: SpaceX News

Sorry error upon error , What I needed to say it takes 27 KG of fuel to get one more KG to orbit. (pesky little decimal places) secondly I for some reason assumed you were keeping the payload the same ...I don,t know I need to start breaking those pills in half or taking twice as many. Floren...

Re: SpaceX News

Maybe you meant "more than 10% of the F9 first stage"? Added weight to the first stage does not really affect payload mass as much. It is more relevant for the BFS though, which is a second stage and there every added kg means a kg less payload. well every added KG would mean 2.7 KG less ...

Re: SpaceX News

Disappointed by updated design. Turns out the only significant difference (added fins) were not a result of engineering, but simply that Musk liked the aesthetics more. He even admitted the design was now riskier as a result. This guy legit scares me now. Seems like he has gone round the bend a bit...

Re: SpaceX News

A brief test-firing of a Falcon 9 rocket Wednesday morning kept SpaceX on track for a launch Saturday night from Cape Canaveral with a communications satellite to be jointly used by Telesat and APT Satellite of Hong Kong. The rocket’s nine Merlin 1D main engines ignited at Cape Canaveral’s Complex 4...

Re: Deneum - deuterium/titanium interaction produces energy

No conditions are found at which the reaction rates can ever reach values of interest for power generation by i situ virtualstate DD reactions alone; the rates are all too low by 12 to 14 orders of magnitude. Thus, some other source of energy production must be found if large power generation is sou...

Re: Sell The Whitehouse to Trump

Under a federal government shutdown, it would nominally be on State and local governments, and prepared citizens, to keep order. Hopefully local police will give rabid democrat mayors the big middle finger if ordered to stand down in the face of rioters. If not, being on favorable terms with some w...
