Wonder if the FoFu folks have considered preheating the gas with lasers like Sandia? Actually, LPPX-1 (I like that better than FoFu but that's just me :) ) has already exceeded boron fusion temps without expensive and finicky lasers. They've achieved sufficient confinement time and temps and are wo...

thanks for that link Paul. fascinating. hope it works. sent it to my bro. who is professor/physicist at NPL, UK. his response: "OMG -anything with warp core in any title of any scientific experiment gets my vote and 100% attention!". good to know there are still a few other sane minds about willing ...

Good news about John Slough. He needs to get out more. :)

Art Carlson was/is a big fan of his work, As am I. Art suggested John was a much better scientist than he was a sales person. He needs sponsors who can spot his talent and the potential of his work.

Hoping it happens for him/his ideas.

ps. i'm supposing there's such a thing as 'fast-tracking' in the US Navy - for particularly promising/well-performing projects. no sign of any of that happening for our dear Polywell i suppose?

...That is what the contract says. 8.1 is contigent on 8.0 working well enough. It could not be clearer. If they enact the 8.1 clause, that is a clear statement that 8.0 was good enough. and how 'well' do we know that DD was successfully performed on 8.0? (might there have been other reasons to pro...

...My judgement? This data, and the claimed strong (5% error) quantitative correlation between predicted and observed He4 is all wrong. right. that's it then. it's all over for McK. . I reckon this is what happens when you have complex data, and a theory, and a strong motivation to see your data fi...

...I'm just not sure. On balance, I don't think McK was dishonest, I do think he was careless and put data together in a way that suited his theory without checking properly... hmmm. without checking properly. is one thing. suiting his own (/his master's) theory is another. is it really possible to...

The link to the doc "To Whom It May Concern" from Dec, 2011 is particularly damning. It's a pretty concise explanation of Krevit's complaints. I don't know why someone with no science background like Krevit felt he needed to do this analysis but sans a response by McKubre, it's a pretty potent comp...

ps. just read (& watched) Krivits (v McKubre): maybe Krivits smelled a rat where there is none? i don't know. maybe there is a rat there somewhere. McKubre's reputation seems pretty good (apart from this 'accusation'). i suspect, but dont know, that Krivit's is reading too much into it, and in the w...

Here is whar "the snake" has to say about McKubre. On the one hand Krivit's case is well made. On the other McKubre writes decent scientific papers, which for some weird reason few of the LENR lot do. http://newenergytimes.com/v2/sr/McKubreM4/McKubre-Experiment-M4.shtml the exchanges make very inte...
