Without cheap electrical storage cheap solar is useless. In undeveloped areas with poor or non existent grid power - eg, Islamic Sub-Saharan Africa - it's certainly useful. Besides, I was addressing hanelyp's suggestion of some unspecified new energy techs, and thus it's perfectly valid to suppose ...

Don't know why you brought up Turkey - but Turkey is of course a predominantly Islamic nation. /shrug

2. New energy technology - cheap solar - will make many Islamic nations more self dependent in energy, not less. UH. You have information on that that you are keeping from us? The cost of solar has reached grid parity in many countries now and is certainly cheaper than the diesel generators that ar...

I note that the economies of many Muslim dominated nations would quickly implode if cut off from the rest of the world. Hoping for new energy tech that makes that more possible. 1. Developed economies are far more vulnerable - an undeveloped North African nation would weather isolation more easily ...

Honestly, the level of misinformed, overblown, chicken-licken hysteria displayed here is staggering.

Believing such nonsense may afford some perverse amygdala-tickling thrill, but it's nothing more than the propaganda of the extreme right, and you lot are swallowing it whole.

In demographics a doubling every 20 years is neither linear nor mildly exponential growth. /shrug
My point is that you shouldn't assume it will grow slowly.
In the above example I assumed that it would grow extremely rapidly.

It is axiomatic that any morality which lessens chances for survival is a non-viable system from an evolutionary standpoint. OTOH, if your argument is that the moral system that ensures its survival is the best moral system, then surely that makes the outcome you're suggesting here: Islam is a meme...

And it's been pointed out that "I think therefore I am" is a circular argument and is thus not as indubitable as Descartes claimed. I would suggest that as an expression of it's own existence it serves well as it's own proof. As Isaac Asimov (I think) said to the question "Do we exist?" "Who's aski...

Judging by the second generation Asians I know it doesn't seem to be all that good at reproducing.

Even were they exceptionally fecund and doubled their population every 20 years whilst the rest of the population remained static, it would take more than a century for them to become the majority. Don't posit linear growth, or even mildly exponential growth. In demographics a doubling every 20 yea...

Cognito ergo sum. It's cogito ergo sum . And it's been pointed out that "I think therefore I am" is a circular argument and is thus not as indubitable as Descartes claimed. Even if one is to accept it as true, it is far from clear how one would get from "cogito ergo sum" to a statement about...

Btw, the facts don't support your alarmist and frankly offensive (/mildly racist) thesis. In the UK only 2.7% of the population describe themselves as Muslims. Even were they exceptionally fecund and doubled their population every 20 years whilst the rest of the population remained static, it would ...

Like it or not ambiguity is a seemingly unavoidable facet of our experience of reality - it's inherent to science (the measurement problem, wave-particle duality), maths (Gödel's Incompleteness Theorem) and philosophy (the full works). Those who think that they can use science to build an indubitab...
